Underground plant room system pumps drinking water to new homes whilst saving valuable space
We all know that there is a premium on space in Greater London. If you have it then you want to put it to effective use. If you don’t have space, then you need innovative solutions to practical problems.
Excited as we are about how beautiful we find our pump systems, the right solution for Ardmore at their new residential development was to install our pressure booster system solution underground, saving valuable space.
Armed with an in-depth understanding of the pumping challenge we designed and manufactured the most appropriate pressure booster system to reliably deliver fresh drinking water across this new development. Delivering a flow rate of 400 litres per minute, a 2 pump system, with Danfoss inverters to control the flow of water, was supplied with a 10,000 litre WRAS-approved tank.
To save space the whole system was built in a waterproof GRP unit which was installed underground creating an easily accessible plant room. We also supplied the system with a specialist control panel. This allows remote monitoring of the unit via text message and control of a small submersible pump to expel any surface water seeping into the unit.
